Diving

The holy destination for all divers, The Red Sea is perfect for everyone from beginners to tech divers, snorkellers and freedivers. Most of Dahab’s dive sites are just a short drive and a gentle swim from the shore meaning no boats are needed. You can expect dramatic underwater topography here from drop-ffs, caverns, coral gardens and colourful walls, all teeming with marine life. Because of its geographic position, this area is home to extraordinary hard and soft corals attracting turtles, moray eels, clownfish, parrotfish, nudibranchs, octopuses, and occasionally even dolphins.

Our favourite areas to dive here include the famous Blue Hole, with its famous arch and deep vertical walls, and The Canyon, where you can swim through an impressive crack in the reef that opens into a magical underwater cavern. Other dive sites include the Lighthouse Reef, a perfect training and fun dive site right in the heart of Dahab town; Eel Garden, where thousands of garden eels gather in the currents; and Ras Abu Galum, a remote, untouched marine reserve near Dahab, offering pristine reefs and a true sense of wilderness.
