Liveaboard
A liveaboard expedition in the Red Sea is an immersive adventure that combines diving, exploration, and relaxation. This year, we will be following the Golden Corals Route of the Red Sea, visiting the underwater treasure troves of Fury Shoals Route, Elphinstone, Abu Dabbab and Sataya.
The Golden Corals Route is located in the Marine National Park of Fury Shoals, in the southern Red Sea near Marsa Alam in Egypt. It is renowned for its pristine coral reefs, abundant marine life, and dramatic underwater landscapes. Because of its geographic position, this area is home to extraordinary hard and soft corals, attracting large schools of both reef and pelagic marine fauna.
Diving
You can expect many highlights diving along the Golden Corals Route including swimthrough systems with sunlight streaming through, creating a magical atmosphere; vibrant soft corals attracting butterflyfish, and groupers; large reefs with steep walls, where sharks, barracudas, and tuna are often spotted in the deep blue; towering pinnacles with pristine coral growth; and at Sha’ab Hamam, there is a unique amphitheater-like coral formation which attracts exciting marine life such as Hawksbill turtles, clownfish, and occasionally reef sharks.
One of the true highlights about this area is the famous dolphin encounters with spinner dolphins that can occur in the shallow lagoons. Perfect for snorkellers and divers; dolphin encounters are always a fun experience! Whether you're exploring coral labyrinths, encountering dolphins, or diving wrecks, this area delivers unforgettable adventures.
