An expedition that differs from anything else. A week of adventures with a slice of everything: rich and diverse diving, incredible Mayan ruins, the old town culture of Valladolid, the natural beauty of the Cenotes and above all, Mexican Food! You'll stay in a wonderful 3* Hotel - Casa de las Flores - which is located in central Playa del Carmen. Situated 450m from the beach, the hotel is in a great city location but in a quiet area where you can enjoy rest and relaxation. The diving in Mexico is rich and diverse – there are three main diving adventures for this trip: the coral gardens of Cozumel, the game of lights at the Cenotes and the Bull Shark Migration off the coasts of Playa del Carmen.

Diving

The Island of Cozumel

Located 40 minutes by boat from Playa del Carmen, Cozumel National Reef Park is one of the most popular diving sites in the world. This is due to the magnificent visibility, for its water temperature (around 28 degrees throughout the year) allows for crystal clear views of the spectacular beauty and conservation of its reefs. Once on the island we will have a private boat to go diving and after diving, we will have the chance to spend the afternoon on Cozumel Island with an open return ferry ticket.

The Cenotes

A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater. Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico hosts the biggest underwater tunnels of the globe which were once inhabited by the ancient Maya. The most famous Cenotes on our program includes the Pit, Dos Ojos, Kukulcan and Dream Gate/Kukulcan. Bull Shark Migration: Every year between the months of November and March, the water temperature of the Caribbean Sea drops and the coasts are visited by female bull sharks. Migrating while pregnant, the female sharks have their young in the safe area of the mangroves and shallow waters. Come and witness this natural, magical phenomenon with us.
