This course is the next step after the PADI Open Water Diver certification. Through knowledge and experience you will be able to explore wider interests and develop new skills.
WHAT ARE REQUEAIREMENTS?
- A Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
Have time to complete 5 dives
¿QUÉ PUEDO ESPERAR?
To achieve the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver rating, you need to do 5 Adventure Dives, out of which 2 (Underwater Navigation & Deep Dive) are mandatory. You may choose the other 3 adventure dives based on your interest and options available. The most common choices are: Peak Performance Buoyancy (Awesome for your to master your buoyancy), Search & Recovery , Fish Identification, Wreck, and Night dive.
The knowledge development portion of the Advanced Open Water Diver Course consists of multiple choice knowledge reviews of the 5 topics covered. There is no final exam.
On top of those 5 Adventure dives you will do, there is an extra chapter for you to cover called "Thinking like a diver", and practical aspects and physiological aspects of deep diving in which you will learn more about scuba diving and how we plan a dive.
More ways to use your underwater compass and how to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
How to better use your dive computer and/or electronic Recreational Dive Planner Multilevel (eRDPML) and much much more, depending on the Adventure Dives you choose.
